| Seville's bull ring: Plaza del Torro. |
August 28 2012
A day in Seville. After breakfast we set off to the Seville Cathedral where the tomb of Christopher Columbus resides but this is just one of the sights to behold as again the architecture itself is worth seeing. Included at this site are the Giralda Bell Tower and the Orange Tree courtyard so it was a most productive visit.
We then headed to the Real Alcazar or “Royal Palace” of Seville where the tiled panels of each room were brilliant and after investigating the gardens it was back to the hotel for siesta. We took time out to use the spa facilities in the hotel before I headed off in the late afternoon to the bull ring for a look see. No action here today although there seemed to be a television channel dedicated to this barbaric activity if one wished.
