Farewell to the Cotswolds. Dropped the hire car back in Oxford then caught a cab up to the Ashmolean Museum where we had spotted lockers to store our bags to allow us to revisit the Bodleian library. We had a wonderful “mature aged” volunteer guide who made the tour a pleasure with the library being most interesting. It was the back to the Ashmolean Museum to have a lot at their wares which impressed me but Annette advised me that we would see heaps more of this type of stuff on the continent. So after lunching there it was back to the train station for the quick trip back to Paddington as we had theatre to get to that evening. Annette had made us booking to call into the Qantas lounge for an aperitif or two which were graciously received and we bumped an Olympic legend on the way out. War Horse was our theatre engagement - great show with excellent seats.
